but I'm everything to you.
You say I'm the plague,
but I can't get rid of you.
You try to break me,
but I'm unbreakable.
You think you can scare me,
but I've seen worst.
You think a few words will wound me,
but you're mistaken - I've been called worst.
You think you're better than me,
when we're not that much different.
You delude yourself into thinking I'm your problem,
well guess what? I'm not the only thing you should be worrying about.
You sit on your pedelstal,
the very one I helped build for you.
You hold your head high,
but inside, you're weak.
You think you can cut me down,
but I'm stronger than you think.
You think you can destroy me,
but I've come out on top.
You say I'm the liar,
when you live to lie to yourself.
Take off your masks,
it's not so hard.
Reveal yourself and
you can be free of the past.
You say I'm the game player,
when I've done nothing but exist.
You say I'm the ghost that haunts you,
I say it's bullshit.
Live and let die,
forget the past,
let it go.
What's done is done
and we can't change it.
So let it be.
